How do I restart my Amazon Fire TV?Updated 2 years ago

When you experience technical issues with your Amazon Fire TV, a system restart can help your device return to normal operation. 

Note: Turning your device off and on isn’t the same as a system restart. 

You can restart your Amazon Fire TV manually or in the app. 

To manually restart your Amazon Fire TV:

1. Go to your Amazon Fire TV device. 
2. Find the power adapter, then unplug it.
3. Wait 10 seconds. 
4. Plug the power adapter back into the device.

Now your Fire TV is restarted. 

To restart your Fire TV in the app:

1. Turn on your Fire TV.
2. Go to the Home Screen.
3. Select Settings.
    
4. Select My Fire TV.
5. Select Restart.
   

Now your Fire TV is restarted.
